Over 100 Los Angeles FFs Battle 'Major Emergency' Blaze

Crews spent more than an hour extinguishing a massive blaze at a two-story cold storage facility that was being demolished in downtown Los Angeles on Tuesday.

Los Angeles crews battled a "major emergency" fire that erupted at a cold storage facility being demolished Tuesday, the fire department said.

The blaze broke out shortly before noon at a two-story building in downtown Los Angeles, KCAL-TV reports. More than 100 firefighters responded to the massive blaze.

A demolition worker who was briefly trapped when the fire started was able to safely escape the building, according to the department. Crews spent more than an hour to put out the flames, and no injuries were reported.
